Don’t get me wrong Prosecco for your guests on arrival is all well and good but why not mix it up (quite literally) and serve some fun cocktail welcome drinks at your wedding reception instead? Today we’re sharing 3 different cocktails that are perfect for summer (or this weekend!), are absolutely delicious and look pretty darn good too…
MANGO MARGARITA (serves 1)
1 shot tequila // 1 shot triple sec // 1/2 lime, juiced // mango juice // honey & salt (for rim) // lemons & limes (for garnish)
First up, grab yourself two plates and pop some salt on one and a drizzle of honey on the other. Next, rim your glasses (or jars) into the honey, and then into the salt.
Next, you’ll need a cocktail shaker. Add your tequila, triple sec, mango juice, lime juice and ice then give it a good shake to mix it all in!
Finally, add a few cubes of ice to your salt rim glasses then pour your cocktail mix in. You can garnish with lemon and lime slices too if you like. It’s the perfect sweet and sour combo and the mango really gives the cocktail a burst of summer!
CHERRY MOSCOW MULE (serves 1)
1 shot vodka // 5 fresh cherries // ginger beer // 1/2 lime, juiced // extra cherries and limes (for garnish)
Chop your cherries in half, remove the stones and add them to the bottom of your glass. Then muddle them together with the juice of half a lime.
Next add in your ice and fill the glass up to the top with ginger beer.
Then all that’s left to do is garnish with extra cherries and lime slices! Super easy and super delicious!
GIN & FIZZ PROSECCO COCKTAIL (serves 1)
1 shot gin // dash of elderflower cordial // Prosecco // fresh mint & cucumber (for garnish)
Start by pouring a dash of elderflower cordial in the bottom of your champagne glass, then add in your shot of gin.
Next you just need to simply fill up the glass with cold Prosecco and decorate with fresh mint and slices of cucumber! This one will definitely be popular with the gin lovers!
Pssttt…if you’re wondering where those Bridesmaids theme glass stickers are from you can grab them here to decorate your champagne glasses! Fun right?!
Ok so tell me, which cocktail sounds like it would be your favourite?! My love of Mexico is making me lean towards the mango margarita! xxx
