A Contemporary And Industrial London Wedding With A Fun Feel

If you like the idea of a modern celebration, then I am sure Georgie and David’s industrial London wedding is going to appeal to you. The couple met at law school and dated for three and half years before getting engaged in Florence.

Georgie’s pretty Jenny Packham dress perfectly suited the feel of her industrial London wedding at Trinity Buoy Wharf. She accessorised the dress with a Jenny Packham veil and Jimmy Choo shoes.

The person responsible for the couple’s flowers was Livi Wilson from Bread & Roses. ‘She is an exceptionally talented florist who did wonders for us on a limited budget,’ says Georgie. ‘I had a lot of greenery and white in the bouquets. Instead of large vases on tables, Livi put together little jam jars filled with flowers.’

Georgie was lucky enough to have Charlotte Tilbury make up artists beautify her on the morning of her big day. She went to Taylor Taylor London in Shoreditch on the morning to have her hair done. Georgie’s best woman, mother and godmother had their hair styled by freelance hair stylists from Blow Ltd.

David wore a navy suit from REISS, his shoes were from Loake. The bridesmaids wore their own outfits.

Georgie and David’s ceremony and reception took place at Trinity Buoy Wharf. ‘We then went on a boat ride on the Viscountess (owned by Thames Cruises) which is an old boat with wooden interior,’ says Georgie. ‘We motored down to Greenwich and back. We returned to the venue and the space had been transformed into a dinner and dancing studio.’

The couple’s caterers were Honey & Thyme and their cake was made by David’s aunt, Katie Glover. ‘It was a sponge cake with raspberry and thyme, says Georgie. ‘Absolutely delicious.’

According to Georgie, the highlight of their day was having all of their friends and family in one place. ‘One of our great friends ran the ceremony for us, which made the day extremely personal,’ says Georgie. ‘David’s brother played me down the aisle (The Beatles Here Comes The Sun).’

Georgie and David’s industrial London wedding was photographed by Karolina from Hearts on Fire. ‘She was a lovely person to have around and made me feel totally at ease during the day.’ says Georgie.
