Ana Paula & James

Ana Paula & James by Sara Lobla Photography

There’s no denying our bride Ana Paula is an absolute stunner, and looks absolutely incredible in her Anne Barge bridal gown with plunging neckline and lace long sleeves.

In fact the whole destination wedding in the heart of Miami’s art district will leave you utterly speechless. Captured beautifully by the fabulous Sara Lobla Photography, who not only documents all the love and happiness, but chooses the most fabulous backdrops and compositions for all those moments and memories for you to treasure forever.

Our Story

Ana Paula The Bride: James and I met at an Irish bar in New York City, where we both lived.

Proposal

James asked me to marry him at the rooftop of our apartment building on a Thursday night after work.
It was a complete surprise, so special and a moment I will never forget.

Wedding

We wanted a really natural wedding.
It was a religious ceremony at Trinity Cathedral. There were Portuguese and English readings and also, a traditional Irish poem.
The wedding was insipired by natural rustic. The colour palette was green and white.

Flowers

The bouquets were made up of daisies, greens and Queen Ann’s Lace, the boutonnières were thistles, and the centrepieces were made with greenery, lanters and candles. All beautifully designed by Simple Florals.

Food and Drink

We had caipirinhas as our welcome drinks, and served Brazilian churrasco. The cake was a delicious semi-naked wedding cake.

Entertainment

Our first dance was Let’s Stay Together by Al Green. The Father-Daughter dance was Amapola by Roberto Carlos because my father used to sing it to me when I was little.

Photography

Sara Lobla really captures the subtle moments of love at every wedding with beauty, we can’t thank her enough for our stunning images and memories.
