Breathtaking Swiss Alps Elopement

Liwen and Jason, from Australia, eloped to the Swiss Alps last October for this amazing wedding celebration. The couple chose the traditional mountain village of Mürren in Bernese Oberland- suggested by their photographer Monica Tarocco, the village of Mürren is picturesquely located in the heart of the Swiss Alps and at an impressive 1,638m above sea level, it is actually unreachable by public road. Thanks to Liwen and Jason’s collaboration with planners Cake & Confetti Wedding, the perfect spot for both the ceremony and couple portraits were found near the village. On a perfect October day the couple got ready at their hotel before venturing to a beautiful meadow with stunning alpine views to exchange vows. After the ceremony the party took a funicular to nearby Allmendhubel- a mountain near Mürren at 1906 metres above sea level, and there the couple had their portrait shots captured. They closed the day with some photos in the village of Mürren. The word “breathtaking” may be slightly overused when we write about weddings, but we think it’s pretty accurate to describe these views!
