The look of love is certainly present in today’s real wedding, particularly in the stunning shots of bride and groom, Kerry and Richard, wrapped in each other’s arms on the stunning Cumbrian coastline.
After a traditional church ceremony, the loved-up couple and their guests travelled to the Seacote Hotel in St Bees, located right by the beach, where the celebrations continued with live music, dancing and cupcakes.
As an individual touch to their big day, Kerry and Richard asked their guests to rock a headpiece or hat, so look out for some fabulous fascinators, magical millinery and top trilbies!

kerry says: We got engaged in September 2016, while in Grasmere, and set the date for 3rd June 2017.
Our ceremony was at St John’s Church, Whitehaven, followed by a reception at Seacote Hotel in St Bees, Cumbria. We chose St John’s as it is our local church. St Bees is a favourite place for us both and it has a fantastic beach right on the door step!
We had a rustic theme for the wedding and chose a pale pink colour scheme. We didn’t set a dress code but we did ask our guests to all wear a headpiece or hat, which added a quirky element.
For my wedding attire, I chose a Stella York lace fitted dress (style 6247) in ivory, which I purchased from Songbird, in Keswick. I accessorised the dress with a headpiece by Rebecca Williams.
On the morning of the wedding, my hair was styled by Bazaar Hair Company, and Escape Beauty took care of my makeup.
My two adult bridesmaids wore Eliza J dresses while the younger bridesmaids wore dresses from Monsoon.
Richard and his groomsmen wore suits from Next. We put together their outfits ourselves rather than sourcing them from just one menswear supplier.
On the day of the wedding, we travelled to the venue in beautiful vintage VW cars, which we hired from Lake District Vintage Wedding Cars.
Flower-wise, I carried a bouquet of white roses and gyp, while the adult bridesmaids had pink rose bouquets and the children had butterfly wands.
Our venue was dressed by Hird of Love, and we chose to have cupcakes rather than a traditional wedding cake.
We spent a lot of time thinking about the entertainment as this was an important element of the day to us. We settled on Miss Dee and The Mustangz. A member of the band did an Irish music set to entertain guests while were having photographs taken to avoid a midday-lull.
My son Callum also surprised us all with a performance with the band, which was fab! He had been rehearsing in secret!
Following the wedding, we’ve tried pick out one favourite part of it but we just can’t narrow it down as the whole day was so good! Richard does say that watching me walk down the aisle was an amazing highlight though!
We decided on a relaxing honeymoon full of sunshine in the Dominican Republic.
My top tip for other Brides Up North is simple – just be relaxed. We were both very laid back about our wedding, which made it really enjoyable.
