Emotional Positano Elopement

Michael and Danna eloped to the Amalfi Coast last May, and what really stood out for us about their wedding (apart from the stunning Amalfi scenery) was the joy and emotion so evident in their photos. Captured by Lace & Luce, this beautiful celebration is all the evidence we need that an elopement can be one of the most intimate and emotional ways to tie the knot. Danna the bride tells us: “Michael and I met in Seattle almost nine years ago in an elevator. He said to me: “This could be trouble,” and from that moment on there was no going back. With Michael being from Vancouver in Canada and I being from Seattle in the US, the decision of where to have a wedding was never going to be an easy choice. Having been a wedding and event planner in a beautiful downtown urban environment for several years, I wanted something different. After going back and forth many times on location, we decided to leave the details and planning behind and hop on a plane to southern Italy to tie the knot! When researching locations, there was something about Positano that seemed like a place one could only dream of with the village of colorful houses along the cliffside and the lemon trees lining the streets. Although we would have loved to have our family and friends (and fur baby Wilson) present for our elopement, we couldn’t have asked for a more perfect day. The sun was shining and the limoncello was flowing!”
