Today’s green and gold wedding editorial was inspired by its Spanish influenced setting, but the vintage styling, lush greenery filled florals and bold color palette created an oh-so-glamorous look I am sure you will appreciate. With a romantic allure thanks to the vintage picture frame backdrop, calligraphy ceremony backdrop and splashes of velvet, you will definitely want your pinning finger ready!
Oana Foto is here to share the behind-the-scenes inspiration….. “Steps from the sand and sea with ocean views and Spanish influences, the newly remodelled Balboa Inn was the perfect venue for an intimate styled shoot. Inspired by the location and a primarily green and neutral palette, Lisa from Simon Says Design sought out to deliver a design that could be adapted for any season.
Out of the Dust Rentals created the foundation for the designs in the two spaces with rustic wood tabletops, vintage frames, brass candlesticks, a vintage chair upholstered in the Pantone color of the year, GREENERY, as well as other vintage and found objects. Overall, this shoot represents the relaxed yet elegant lifestyle of a California bride, that appreciates fine design and simple details.
Our florist from 4 Fresh Blooms worked with greenery and blooms that would accent the overall design while being both relevant and attainable to a range of tastes and budgets. Simon Says Design created a custom scroll ceremony backdrop with a love poem in gold calligraphy scripted across and adorned with greenery and candles to set the mood. Cherished Rentals introduced their brand new, curated collection of china, the “Eden Collection” in this shoot and it complemented the tabletop design perfectly with the white floral and gold details.
We chose a simple cake to tie in all the whites in the rest of the vignettes and accented it with fresh blooms. And it all came together with a custom Casablanca Bridal gown and veil, which gave it just the right touch of elegance. The dress was designed with a deep v-neck, sheer bodice and a full skirt, with horsehair hemmed layers that moved beautifully with the bride.”
Oh so glam, don’t you think?? A huge thankyou to all of the wedding professionals and creatives who lent their time and talents, and especially to Oana of Oana Foto for capturing every detail so perfectly.
