Aynhoe Park ALWAYS makes us smile. Every time I see a wedding featured there I always stumble across a new detail I love, and I NEVER tire of seeing the hanging giraffe. The incredibly unique decor was perfect for Hannah & Steven’s blush & white theme with unicorn details, giving an incredibly romantic feel to this achingly elegant wedding.
The colour scheme was even echoed in bride Hannah’s dreamy blush wedding dress. Plus she has an entourage of bridesmaids, flower girls and page boys in equally stunning attire that’ll have you wanting to increase your bridal squad immediately.
I can’t think of a better photographer than Lucy Davenport to capture this whimsical day, as her fine art style suits it down to the ground.
Hannah The Bride: When considering the venue for our special day I really wanted something different and Aynhoe Park fitted the bill. It really was like no other venue we had seen before. We had the house to call our home for the entire weekend and it was left to us to decide exactly what we wanted.
Lucy Davenport took the wedding photographs. She made us feel completely at ease and at the same time very special. We were over the moon with her and the photographs. Her style is very natural and Lucy really did capture some lovely moments.
The videographer was Richard Shelton Aurora films. He did a lovely job of producing a very natural film.
I chose not to wear a veil or head piece. My dress which was ivory and rose silk with Italian lace and was made by the English designer Sarah from Ivory and Co. I had one very special Matron of Honour Elizabeth Ratcliffe and my three second cousins were my flower girls; Ava Candappa, Maeve Thompson and Millie Mcginley. My three page boys were my two special nephews Harry and Charlie Jefferson and Eddie Trimble the son of two great friends were all dressed by Nicki Macfarlane.
My shoes were from Jimmy Choo; all the more special because my brother had gifted them to me for my special day.
I kept my jewellery very simple and just wore diamond drop earrings which were ‘borrowed’ from my mum, delicate diamond solitaire necklace as well as a diamond and light pink sapphire ring.
On the morning of my wedding day my fiancée also had a Cartier bracelet delivered to my room for me to wear that matched his wedding ring which was very special.
All of our wedding stationery was designed by my mum and I and then brought to reality by Creative Touch Design. I have to say I was very pleased with the outcome.
Table place names were made out of wood and spray painted gold and our tables were named by the use of large animals which again we spray painted gold, this looked very striking.
The venue was transformed for the evening’s party by Bubblegum Balloons
Our hair and makeup was done by Cat from Claire Hanson. We were very happy with their service which was both professional and friendly. Cat interpreted exactly what I wanted which was a very natural look.
The Groomsmen wore individually tailored suits, navy blue with a slight subtle check through them accompanied by blush tie.
Our colour scheme was basically antique rose and ivory.
Gerri Rees from Sweet Peas Floral Design of Great Tew provided the flowers and she did a wonderful job of interpreting what we asked for. We had a selection of quicksand and creme de menthe roses, small peonies, ivory stocks and trailing jasmine.
All the catering was done by Stones Events from the wedding breakfast to the linen and cutlery. They were very professional and the food was delicious.
We also had James Wood serving oysters during the champagne reception.
Melissa Woodland Cakes created our 3 tier cake with silver and gold leaf in three flavours topped with a Unicorn made from edible icing in white and gold.
Before, during and after the service for our champagne reception Apollo Strings played.
Aimee Jay Sax welcomed everyone playing her fantastic saxophone.
Our band was Up4the Downstroke who I spotted at the ‘Jam House in Birmingham’. They were simply fantastic.
Myself and my mum Louise Jefferson were the wedding planners and Matt Shakespeare from Study Inn coordinated everything on the day.
