My love for the Casa Cornacchi Tuscan Country House wedding venue has been alive ever since we featured Real Bride Sophie’s wedding there a few years ago, so it’s an absolute treat to go back there today and see all the magic of Kerry & Jules’ intimate wedding captured by Dale Weeks Photography.
The surroundings are absolutely stunning and truly speak for themselves, and the minimal white flower decor compliments it beautifully. Add Bride Kerry in her stunning Sarah Seven gown and you have some serious destination wedding envy to feast your eyes upon.
Kerry The Bride: My dress was Sarah Seven from LOVE Bridal Boutique in Altrincham. I hunted high and low for a dress and I think this was about the 12th shop I went to. My shoes were from New Look (boring I know). My mum actually bought me a pair of Jimmy Choo’s before the wedding but I was convinced I would break my neck in them on the cobbles I made her take them back! My hair accessory was from Debenhams. I think this means I like the high street….

We really wanted our wedding to be as relaxed and laid back as possible and this went for the décor too. Our flowers were minimal, just letting the natural beauty of the setting be the main focus. Our flowers were all white, with a lot of green. Jules’ brother, who was the best man, and my dad, wore grey suits with dusty pink ties. This was the only pink we had during the day – everything else was white.
Our florist was Stiatti Fiori in Montevarchi.

I think we’d both agree the most special moment was hearing Julian’s dads words read by his mum. Julian’s dad wasn’t able to join us in Italy as he’s not very well so that was really emotional.
We had two Italian guitarists who we booked through Alma Project.
All of the food was put together by the venue and I’m sure you will agree it was delicious! We had canapes during our drinks reception immediately after the ceremony. We then had a 7 course dinner including: tomato spaghetti, spinach & ricotta ravioli, roasted chicken and grilled steak with roasted potatoes, roasted mixed vegetables and salad. We had 3 desserts – tiramisu, fruit and ice cream and also our wedding cake which was millefoiglie made with fresh fruit on the spot.
We changed our mind on the venue about a million times, but in the end decided to go with what we always wanted to do, and that was to get married abroad. Me and Jules have never wanted a big fuss and instead wanted our day to be all about spending time with our family and closest friends. Going abroad to get married meant our celebration lasted a whole weekend and we got to spend a lot of time with the people we love and that was really special for us. We love to travel and being abroad is where we are most happy. We actually got engaged in Italy almost 2 years to the day we got married so it was extra special being back.
From the very start I vowed to never be a bridezilla and I think I did a good job at sticking to that. I think I would go as far as saying I was actually too laid back and quite unorganised at times! I never worried about anything going wrong and instead took the attitude that no matter what happened everything would work out. And it did
We decided against table plans, we let everyone sit wherever they wanted. We had no dress code and were happy for guests to turn up in their shorts and t shirt if they wanted to. We spent the night before our wedding together, and we spent the morning of the wedding together too. We didn’t want to hide away from each other as we didn’t want to lose the time we had together with our family and friends. We’re always so busy and never get to do that so it was really nice!
Barbara, who organised the wedding at Casa Cornacchi, actually said to me on the morning of the wedding that I was the calmest bride she’d ever had – that’s a comment I was chuffed with.
